Friendly Tips:

1. When you order, TC means tri clamp, MNPT means male npt. for example: if you order 1.5" to 2" TC , means you will get 1.5" MNPT with a 2" tri clamp.
2. 1.5" TC (tri clamp) clamp flange outer diameter is 1.984inch.
3. 2" TC (tri clamp) clamp flange outer diameter is 2.52inch.

NPT means National Pipe Taper

NPT threaded are widely used for joining pipe. Since the tapered threads (wider diameter at the base of the threads, similar to a trapezoid) the male fitting will be tighten when it is  threaded into the female fittings. 

How to determining NPT size:

Sizing NPT is based on the nominal pipe diameter (you can understand it is out diameter of a tube/pipe), and not the outside diameter (O.D) of the threads . For example: A 1/2" NPT male has an outside thread diameter of approx. 3/4 inch, but as stated the correct NPT size is 1/2", including the counterpart female.
