Description
Tri-Clamp hopstrainers allows the filtration and flavorization of any liquids. The welded tri-clamp connection allows a quick assembly or disassembly of the whole system and make it easy to use. There are two types to use this hopstrainer:➜ The use as a normal hopstrainer enables wort and other liquids to be filtered. For this purpose, the liquid to be filtered is fed into the strainer and then filtered through the stainless steel mesh. Depending on the mesh of the filter, the result is a clear liquid and a dirty hopstrainer, which can then be cleaned under the waterfaucet.
➜ Used as a hop-rocket, the strainer can additionally flavor the finished beer. For this, the filter candle of the strainer is filled with pelles or hop leaves and then the young beer is passed through. The hops remain in the filter mesh and the beer gains additional taste due to the cold hop. This application is possible by transfer from one keg tot he other keg or for direct tapping.

Advantages to the standard hopstrainer
- Less risk of clogging due to a long slot instead of a fine filtermesh
- The V-shaped surface of the slotted screen can be cleaned more easily by scraping or backwashing (CIP)
- Less pressure drop in the system
- Welding makes the construction more stable than a filtermesh and enable a longer life time (suitability for pumps)
Flow direction
- side connection is the inlet
